The following free agents were signed to contracts.
P.A. Parenteau signed a 2-year deal (worth 1.8M) with the New York Rangers.
The Devils signed Matt Cooke (2.5M) and David Legwand (2.8M) to 1-year deals.
The Penguins signed Steve Ott and Marc-Andre Bergeron to 3-year deals (worth 1.5M each) and Chris Higgins to a 2-year deal (1M).
